Our movement-based pedagogy is at the forefront of everything we do in Early Years and aims to support the physical and intellectual development of each child. Our Plan and Do approach to play and well thought out environment promote independence, enables the
repeated practise of key movement skills and the development of communication and language skills.

Our indoor and vast outdoor environments are of equal importance where children can build, dig, perform, sing, create, role play, imagine, negotiate, draw, write, count, be physical, experiment and take risks. During plan and do time, adults mindfully interact with children to enhance the learning taking place.

The knowledge and skills taught are progressive but also allow for repeated practise. Our curriculum has broad themes for each term which reflect the children’s immediate environment, the local community, the wider world and the natural environment.
