Half Termly Celebration Assembly
Our first half termly assembly went extremely well. As well as our weekly stars that were celebrated this half term, we celebrated two head teacher award winners and the winners from our 'Recycling' competition that took place on Global Recycling Day. We were extremely proud of the children and they sang some lovely Easter Hymns. We were very grateful for the fantastic turn out from parents and carers who supported this event. Mr Martin, our Vice Chair of Governors, attended to help present prizes and show the children his support. We would like to wish everybody a very happy Easter!
Mini First Aid
The children took part in mini first aid. These are important skills to learn that will help to keep the children safe within the school community, home and when playing and interacting outside of school within the local community and East Halton. The children were very grown up and sensible during this class and we were extremely proud of the way they engaged in the first aid activities.
Step into NHS Competition
Our children learnt about different careers in the NHS and following this learning created posters to promote the NHS and capture their learning. It is important for the children to make connections between their curriculum subjects and the world beyond school. This raises aspiration and encourages the children to be ambitious and open minded.
Christmas Fayre
One of our parents within the community works tirelessly to bring about the Christmas Fayre. This event promotes the school and helps to build strong links between the school and local community. This enables those with creative, crafty talents to share these with others and brings the community together for Christmas cheer, family fun and warmth; one of the many selling points of our small village school.
